Stickerbook — rescuing a sustainability education platform
Obliquity Group, incubated by the University of Cambridge, pioneers sustainability education with Stickerbook — a platform that gamifies learning and fosters engagement through a sticker-collecting process. The existing product had been abandoned despite gaining traction, and was burdened by significant technical debt. Obliquity required a team to swiftly familiarise themselves with the project, ensure its maintenance, and address the accumulated technical debt while making incremental feature additions.
NH66 Labs quickly ramped up on the existing codebase and product, deploying a dedicated team to monitor the product, incorporate features on demand, and address bugs from previous implementations. Through strategic feature enhancements, NH66 successfully onboarded several new clients.
The project is in active development, with ongoing efforts to enhance and expand its capabilities. A crucial phase involves re-architecture of the product, laying a solid foundation for future growth and innovation.
“We outsourced our tech development as we had a clear solution in mind but limited ability to bring it to life. nh66 has been fantastic at understanding, building and improving our vision — it helps us scope and develop our product whilst letting us focus on other areas. They have turned the software development aspect of our business from a liability into an asset, and their support has put us on a pathway to sustainable growth.”
