Kulu — a mobile wallet driving financial inclusion in Guinea
Kulu is a mobile wallet app driving financial inclusion and payment digitization in Guinea. Users deposit, withdraw, transfer money, and pay merchants instantly via QR codes or mobile numbers. The app was already deployed and operating in Guinea, but its architecture and technical limitations made it hard to roll out new releases or add features. Several components needed to be re-architected or rewritten.
NH66 engaged with Kulu initially for the integrations team, connecting the app to external services and providers. After multiple successful deliveries, we took over the IAM service and started re-architecture work on it. We then took over project management and team coordination for multiple areas.
Given the successful delivery of multiple components, the engagement with Kulu has grown to cover multiple components and services, and is expanding.
